A Class 1A Supernova
When a star about as large as the sun travels with a companion star and becomes a white dwarf. It can suck out it's "conpanion's" energy and to the point that the white dwarf becomes unstable, then a super massive explosion known as a thermal nuclear runaway (also known as a type 1A supernova) happens.
